GainGrocer is run by Jorge Lizalde, 33 Springfield Place, Cardiff CF11 9NZ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are responsible for your personal data. Contact: [email protected].
Your email address and login details; the meal plan settings you choose (country, budget, calorie and macro targets, meals per day, diet and allergies); plans you save; recipes recently suggested to you (so new plans don't repeat them); and how many plans, swaps and pictures you use each month. Subscription purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We receive your subscription status through RevenueCat, never your card details.
To provide the service you signed up for: running your account, creating your meal plans, applying your monthly allowance and checking your subscription. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you. We also use limited technical information to keep the service secure and working, based on our legitimate interests. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Allergies and diet preferences may say something about your health. We only use them to filter your recipes, with your consent when you choose them, and you can change or remove them at any time. GainGrocer does not provide medical or nutrition advice.
Supabase (database and login hosting, EU servers), Anthropic (writes your recipes from your plan settings), fal.ai (creates recipe pictures from recipe names; no personal data is sent), RevenueCat (subscription status), Apple and Google (payments), Resend (account emails) and Cloudflare (website hosting). Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses.
We keep your account data while your account is open. Saved plans are limited to your 20 most recent, and recipe history to your 60 most recent recipes. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our database straight away; backups are cleared within our providers' normal backup cycles.
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account in the app under Account > Delete my account, or email us. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.
GainGrocer is not intended for anyone under 16.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email.
